O2 UK brings free mobile video to GPRS (until January 2004)
In a move sure to hurt 3 and Vodafone, O2 is now offering free WAP access until 31st January 2004, and has just introduced its new video service that lets users download or stream video clips straight to a Nokia 3650, Sony Ericsson P800 and the O2 Xda II.

Users can watch videos from categories like comedy, sports, news and entertainment including exclusiO2 has secured a licence to show clips of the forthcoming Rugby World Cup, to help it promote the new video service. Clips are available as downloads or streams, including half and full time highlights, interviews and 100 classic moments. Other content will be syndicated from organisations such as ITN, Extreme Sports Channel, GMTV and CNBC.
