Panasonic launches X70, mobile phone with camera and Bluetooth
Panasonic Mobile Communications introduced its latest digital camera phone, the X70 during the ITU Telecom World. It combines a clamshell design with a 65,536 colour TFT display, built-in digital camera with Photo Light, MMS, Bluetooth, 4MB of internal memory and polyphonic ringtones. Shipments for the European market are scheduled to begin this autumn 2003.

According to Panasonic's press release images can be saved in JPEG and PNG file types and up to 400 photos can be stored on its 4MB of internal memory

Photo Caller ID is also available, and the Bluetooth implementation allows use of headsets and dial up for laptops and PDAs.

The phone operates on GSM 900/1800/1900, and GPRS 1 + 4 (class 8).
