Sendo prepares to launch their Sendo X Smartphone - starting in Italy
Rumours around the Internet indicate Sendo will at last release their Symbian Series 60 smartphone. Sendo is currently involved in a legal battle with Microsoft over problems with licencing the Windows Mobile platform. The company was working with Microsoft to launch a mobile phone based on Microsoft's standards, but decided to retire the idea and started working with Symbian.

The features of the SENDO X are these:
  • GPRS,
  • camera with flash
  • 65.000 colors display
  • MMS
  • JAVA
  • WAP browser
  • Symbian Series 60 user interface
  • MP3 player
  • IrDA, Bluetooth, USB connection.

    The price would be set at EUR 512 in Italy, through TIM (Telecom Italia Mobile).
