Bitstream releases ThunderHawk 1.09

Posted on 5-Nov-2003 18:43 | Filed under: News

Bitstream release version 1.09 of ThunderHawk, its wireless Web browsing technology. This release makes it possible to render downloaded pages twice as fast as in previous releases, enhances the online installation process to allow for storage on a storage card, and adds support for the new Toshiba e750 and e755 Pocket PCs. ThunderHawk 1.09 also permits IP addresses of client machines to pass through ThunderHawk proxy servers, for functions like inventory tracking that use IP addresses to determine how to select data for presentation on the mobile device.

ThunderHawk is a client-server solution for wireless Web browsing across enterprise networks. ThunderHawk Enterprise Edition gives a company’s mobile workforce complete access to Internet and corporate Intranet Web pages. Bitstream is working with key strategic partners in the computer and telecommunications industries and welcomes inquiries from other organizations who wish to license ThunderHawk.

ThunderHawk is available for a free 30-day trial and for purchase by monthly or annual subscription. Customers who have a Pocket PC can download, test-drive, and purchase ThunderHawk from the Bitstream website.
