PC Magazine's 20th Annual Awards for Technical Excellence

PC Magazine, a Ziff Davis Media publication, announced the finalists for the 20th annual Awards for Technical Excellence. The awards recognize the products and influencers that have advanced the state of technology and set new standards for technical innovation. The winners will be announced at a special ceremony, sponsored by CDW, on Monday, 17th November 2003 at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
PC Magazine will also recognize the Person of the Year, which celebrates an individual's contribution to technology and business in 2003. Additionally, the leading technology publication will present a Lifetime Achievement Award to an individual who has done the most to change how people use technology. Last year's Person of the Year Award went to Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page. In 2002, the Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to AMD's Jerry Sanders.
"These awards are for technical innovation, and we're quite pleased to see so many pioneering products this year," said Michael J. Miller, editor-in-chief, PC Magazine. "All of these nominees are proof that the technology market continues to show amazing changes and breakthroughs."
The publication's editorial staff and Lab analysts chose more than 35 products in 11 different categories. One winner in each category will be announced at the event.
