This user found a not so nice bill (NZ$ 900, around US$ 450) for excess bandwidth on his cable-modem connection... The culprit? A HP Multimedia Keyboard.
Apparently this keyboard model pings an address to check if there's an internet connection active. If the connection is active, a LED in the keyboard lights up.
Since then HP updated the keyboard drivers, paid the bill...
