VoiceXML: Changing the landscape of voice services

This webcast session from HP will cover the technical aspects of Voice XML, how this technology enables developers to build advanced voice interactive services, the main concepts of the language. The session is on 19th November 19 2003 at 9:00am PT (5:00pm GMT).
At a technical level, VoiceXML leverages the communications industry's expertise with existing tools and infrastructure - voice infrastructure for access and Web infrastructure for content. During this session, you will learn about the technical aspects of Voice XML and you will see how this technology enables developers to build advanced voice interactive services (e.g. large scale interactive voice response platforms, voice portals with information services like banking, driving assistance, etc). A specific emphasis will be put on the HP set of VoiceXML tools available for the developers: the HP OCMP Software Development Kit with a VoiceXML interpreter and the HP OCMP vXML developer toolkit, a plug-in for Eclipse development environment. The HP OCMP vXML developer toolkit offers a full set of tools allowing to code, test and deploy easily your voice application based on VoiceXML and other language.
The speaker is Frederic Gloppe, a development consultant in the Developer services team of HP OpenCall Business Unit. In his current assignement, Frederic supports HP OpenCall customers by delivering assistance and consulting to development teams for the HP OpenCall Media platform. He is also responsible for the OpenCall developer portals as well as the dedicated one to VoiceXML.
