palmOne demonstrating handheld and smartphone functionality at COMDEX
palmOne is one of four vendors to be featured in the new Wireless and Mobility Innovation Center during the COMDEX Las Vegas 2003. palmOne will demonstrate how wireless handhelds and smartphones are improving the "Day in the Life of the Mobile Executive".

It'll have everything from Bluetooth through wi-fi to GPRS, but we still wait for the mobile device that implements all these wireless technologies in one. In the meantime, vendors show pretty much the same capabilities.

During the exhibition vendors will give attendees hands-on experience with the latest innovations that wireless technologies have to offer. Visitors will learn what technologies are being developed to enable business from the home, the office, the local hotspot, or even on the golf course. In addition to palmOne, the Wireless and Mobility Innovation Center will feature Aruba, Avaya and SonicWALL.

Highlighting the versatility of the company's wireless handheld and smartphone solutions, palmOne will demonstrate Tungsten T3 and Tungsten C handhelds using Bluetooth or Wi-Fi wireless technologies, respectively, and the Treo 600 smartphone.

The Tungsten T3 handheld from palmOne was selected as a solution for the mobile executive working from the corporate office. The Tungsten T3 handheld is designed for professionals who need a color and wireless handheld with 320 x 480 color high-resolution screen. With the Tungsten T3 handheld, users can instantly rotate the display from portrait to landscape, and optimize their view of spreadsheets, email, photos and more.

The Treo 600 smartphone with wireless service from Sprint and Cingular will be used to demonstrate voice and data capabilities. It seamlessly combines a full- featured mobile phone and Palm OS organizer with wireless communication applications, such as email, messaging and web browsing, and digital camera.
