palmOne releases beta version of POP3 client for Sprint Treo 600
Users of Treo 600 connected to the Sprint network noticed a missing item: a pop3 client. Yes, there was a service available, but that required a paid subscription to access other e-mails.

palmOne announced a beta version of its POP3 Mail application for Treo 600 (Sprint PCS). This software allows you to send and receive POP3 email on the Sprint PCS Treo 600 smartphone.

The support page is clear: do not install this application if your mobile service provider is AT&T, Cingular, Rogers, T-Mobile or any other GSM carrier; Do not install this application on any device other than a Treo 600 smartphone on the Sprint PCS network.

palmOne intends to release a fully supported version of this application in early 2004.
