Coinciding with the launch of AT&T Wireless' enhanced mMode service based on its new EDGE network, customers can now catch premium brand-name streaming multimedia content on the go on mMode enabled mobile phones via the RealOne Player for mobile devices. For US$4.95 per month plus usage fees, AT&T Wireless customers with mMode can watch full-motion video and audio of breaking news, market reports, entertainment content services such as horoscopes and movie reviews, sports highlights and weather forecasts on RealOne-enabled mMode phones. The new service is the result of an agreement announced today by AT&T Wireless and RealNetworks.
The new service is called RealOne for mMode and contains consumer content specifically organized for viewing and listening on mMode mobile devices, like the Nokia 3650 and Nokia N-Gage.
Like other lifestyle applications, mMode brings together email, Internet-based content, games, and more all in one place on the wireless phone. The enhanced version of mMode features a more user-friendly design and interface, powerful personalization tools, exclusive navigation features, and a host of new applications for daily use in a mobile environment.
