PPCSG web site visits MiTAC
A representative of the PPCSG website visited MiTAC headquearters and was offered a first view of new mobile devices, like the MiTAC Mio 8390 Windows Mobile Smartphone, and some general lines on current directions for the company and products in the mobile area.

"MiTAC launched their line of Mio devices in August 2002 and has since been aggressive in their launch of the Windows Mobile devices line of Pocket PCs and Smartphones. Their line of 'Mio Digital Walker' Pocket PCs and Smartphones has received much praise from the mobile community. Their clam-shell Smartphones are also well received.

The company is an OEM/ODM manufacturing capable of designing and building an entire Pocket PC/Smartphone in-house. They have control over manufacturing which equates to tighter control in QC/QA of products, faster turn over time, lower cost expenditure and higher productivity yield."
