Sony Ericsson P900 SDK released including Bluetooth car remote control application
A new Software Development Kit (SDK) for the Sony Ericsson P900 has been published. The SDK includes the P900 device emulator for Sun Wireless Toolkit 2.0, Java Bluetooth APIs, and Developers' Guidelines describing P900/P908 MIDP 2.0 support. The SDK also contains two fully functional Java Bluetooth MIDlets.

The P900/P908 supports J2ME CLDC 1.0/MIDP 2.0 environment. The mobile phone also has Java support for sending and receiving SMS (via WMA 1.1), playing audio files (via MMAPI 1.1) and Bluetooth (JSR 82).

MIDP 1.0 applications developed for the Sony Ericsson P800/P802, T610/T616/T618, T628/T630 and Z600/Z608 should execute on the P900/P908. Applications can be installed directly to the P900 using the built-in internet browser, or may be installed from the PC synchronization software provided with the P900 using USB, Infrared or Bluetooth.

One of the two demo applications in this SDK is a remote control for the Sony Ericsson Bluetooth Car.
