Telecom New Zealand to launch CDMA MMS
The Hyundai TX95c is the flagship mobile phone from Telecom New Zealand, the first one to support MMS on its CDMA network.

The Hyundai TX95c features include a built-in camera and Photo Messaging, allowing users to send and receive photos with text and sound. Full colour display, polyphonic ringtones and the latest version of WAP ensures a rich colour mobile experience, including the Xtra Mobile Services on 027 (CDMA).

Telecom New Zealand's CDMA service is branded as Mobile Jetstream.

The new mobile phone features:

  • Photo messaging – send and receive photos, with text and sound
  • Full colour WAP browser
  • Speaker phone and scheduler
  • Full colour display
  • 32 Polyphonic ringtones
  • Text messaging with T9 predictive text input
  • Calculator, world clock and stop watch
  • Downloadable polyphonic ringtones
  • Downloadable Wallpaper
  • Downloadable Java games
  • Mobile JetStream capable
  • Voice dialling and voice memo (assignable as your ringtone)
  • Weight: 110 grams with standard battery
  • Size: 88 x 47 x 24 mm with standard battery

    Early information indicates the new service and mobile phones should be available in New Zealand from 18 December.
