Siemens to include push-to-talk features in all mobile phones
Posted on 17-Dec-2003 21:43 | Tags Filed under: News

Siemens announced that will offer push-to-talk solutions from end-to-end, including PTT features in all mobile phone line-up. This move follows Nokia's similar annoucement.

And this will be end-to-end: from mobiles to components for the mobile radio infrastructure. Extensive tests are already underway. Mobile operators in the USA, Europe and Asia will be conducting their own trials on Siemens’ technology during the first half of next year. The commercial introduction of push-to-talk services by these carriers is scheduled for mid-2004.
