The CyKey Plus is a small "chord" keyboard. The manufacturer claims that it allows fast (30-60 words per minute) touch typing with only one hand. It works wirelessly with Palm OS PDA's and PC's. Combination keypresses (chords) of 5 main keys and two extra thumb keys brings full keyboard functionality into the tiny keyboard. The CyKey Plus is designed to work with left or right hands of all sizes.
According to the web site it's not hard to learn how to use the keyboard. There is a tutorial that includes memory joggers, and apparently most users can master the basic alphabet in about half an hour. The product is based on "microwrite", the original name of the CyKey-typing system.
The CyKey Plus uses infrared and works with Palm OS PDA's via the included software, and with no software required for PC usage. You can plug the optional PC infrared adapter directly into a PS/2 keyboard port, or with a Y adapter that allows the use of both the CyKey Plus and the standard keyboard.
