Users of T-mobile MDA I Pocket PC running the Windows pocket PC 2002 Phone Edition OS will have access to a free upgrate to the Windows Mobile 2003 OS. The upgrade will be available for German users at its initial release, and T-Mobile has not yet released plans for other users.
These are some of the improved features:
Data links are restored after interruption by a call by depressing the key.
The integrated Windows Media Player 9 Series for pocket PC presents video and audio files with higher quality.
Improved support of Web standards pocket of the InterNet Explorer 6 (HTML 4,0, XHTML, CSS, WAP 2,0, IPv6 and more).
An auto-completion feature is now available when entering SMS and E-Mail addresses.
The calendar function now offers an overview for five weeks; Sunday and holidays as well as days with personal date entries are marked with different colours.
Users of the MDA I Pocket PC Phone Edition will have access to a download of the new OS from 29 December 2003.
