National Scientific Corporation announces Wi-Fi tag prototype
National Scientific Corporation displayed and demonstrated its new Wi-Fi Tracker Wi-Fi tag at the Wi-Fi Planet Conference and Expo in San Jose, CA, which is designed specifically to work with the Ekahau Positioning Engine 2.x from Ekahau, Inc.

National Scientific announced plans to develop its Wi-Fi tag solution in May of 2003. The newly completed prototype is an offshoot of research from NSC’s DarkStar(TM) wireless platform products. NSC’s high efficiency Wi-Fi Tracker enables users to accurately pinpoint in real time the location of mobile client devices or assets in a standard Wi-Fi 802.11x network to within a few feet.

National Scientific Corporation CEO Michael Grollman said, “We believe we really have a winner. Our new Wi-Fi
Tracker offers a significantly improved solution to indoor tracking needs. This product provides accurate indoor
wireless tracking and positioning capabilities with an emphasis on small size, low cost and without the previously
required and expensive proprietary reader infrastructure.”
