TiltCONTROL gives a twist to Windows Mobile Pocket PC
ecerTech released a tilt control product that can be attached to a Windows Mobile Pocket PC. Its software allows the user to control the handheld using gestures. Use it to play games, scroll up and down the pages of documents or web pages, draw masterpieces or flip the pages of an electronic book with the flick of a wrist. They also have available software products specifically developed for the TiltCONTROL that allow users to measure and log the performance of a motor vehicle, or the user's performance during exercise.

For a limited time only ECER Technology is offering for free the CONTROL-EMUL8R software with every purchase of a TiltCONTROL device. This software allows the TiltCONTROL device to do anything with a PDA that can be done with a stylus or D-Pad. Check out the demo movie of the TiltCONTROL in action below.

The TiltCONTROL device contains a Accelerometer, which can be used to measure the horizontal and vertical tilt of itself. This tilt angle information is transferred to the attached mobile computing device, where it is processed. Once the angle of tilt has been calculated this information can be used by any application to control what is on the screen, or perform any number of tasks based on the acceleration and tilt of the device.
