Telecom New Zealand to launch the HTC Falcon Pocket PC Phone Edition
Telecom New Zealand is finalising the preparation work to release the HTC Falcon CDMA Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition into the New Zealand market. The model is a CDMA version of the QTEK 2020 or XDA II (both GSM/GPRS), running Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PC Phone Edition. The device is also known as the Audiovox PPC 5050.

We have already published a review of this Pocket PC on Telecom's network. It is powered by an Intel XScale PXA 255 @ 400MHz, 64 MB RAM and 32MB Flash memory available to the user.

When used on Telecom CDMA2000 1xRTT network the phone is capable of maximum speeds of 153.6kbps. The latest information we have indicates to a release date for the week of 18 January 2004.
