Lenovo reveals new ThinkPad A Series

Lenovo has announced its latest additions to the ThinkPad portfolio, with the new ThinkPad A275 and A475 notebooks being the first enterprise-level ThinkPad models to feature AMD PRO technology. Combining twenty-five years of ThinkPad heritage with the multi-tasking power and hardware-level security of AMD, the A series meets professional needs, thanks to a powerful AMD Radeon R7 onboard graphics, all day battery life, LTE-A connectivity and a touch screen option provides the flexibility you need to bring your work to life.

DASH (Desktop and Mobile Architecture for System Hardware) provides easy-to-use, open source system management tools able to operate across different types of processors and operating systems. Your data is secure the moment you power up, thanks to AMD PRO hardware security in addition to Windows Hello and ThinkPad Match-on-Chip Fingerprint Reader.

The ThinkPad A275 and A475 offer more than ten hours’ battery life and LTE-A mobile high speed broadband connectivity to keep businesses in touch with customers all day long. Mil-Spec quality ensures endurance through the inevitable bumps and bruises that come with being on the road.

Adding to the existing M715 Tiny, the latest ThinkCentre M715 Tower and SFF models are equipped with either the AMD PRO or Ryzen PRO processors. The M715 series generate the performance for intensive tasks such as multimedia creation, graphic design and number-crunching.

“For 25 years, the ThinkPad brand has been defined by simplicity, function, and reliability. And as the digital transformation advances with exponential speed, Lenovo maintains a relentless quest for perfection and delivering customer choice,” said Jerry Paradise, executive director, Lenovo Commercial Portfolio and Product Management.  “With the launch of the new ThinkPad A series and ThinkCentre M715 we have combined the uncompromising versatility of Think products with the multitasking power and hardware-level security of AMD PRO to meet the ever-evolving needs of our enterprise customers.”

“With today’s increasingly demanding applications, multi-tasking requirements and need for protection against an ever-growing number of threats, business PC users require more processing power than ever and that’s exactly what AMD delivers with the dedicated commercial processor, AMD PRO & AMD Ryzen PRO,” said David Bennett, corporate vice president and general manager, Lenovo global account, AMD. “We’re proud to be part of the 25-year legacy of the ThinkPad brand. The commercial-grade quality, reliability and security of the AMD PRO platform alongside the new ThinkPad A enterprise-level models ensure customers receive the choice and experience they deserve.”
