Umbrellar has been appointed a Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider expanding Microsoft’s network.
As demand for cloud-based services increases rapidly, Microsoft is expanding the number of CSPs (formerly known as CSP Indirect Partners) in the New Zealand market.
Umbrellar joins Rhipe, Dicker Data, Exeed and Ingram Micro as CSP Providers for the New Zealand market and Umbrellar Group CEO Michael Foley says his team relishes the opportunity to provide choice to New Zealand businesses.
“Umbrellar’s reason for being is to empower New Zealand businesses with great cloud technology, hosted in New Zealand and overseas. Uniquely we are the only service provider in New Zealand that has the capability to make Azure Stack (the Umbrellar Cloud) available to the reseller channel.”
Microsoft’s decision to increase its CSP Provider pool comes as demand for public cloud-based services pushes on towards the billion dollar mark in this country.
Phil Goldie, Microsoft’s Director of Commercial and Partner Business, says the move is about keeping step with the growth of cloud-based services and about working with partners that will enhance that ecosystem.
“It reflects the continued diversification of Microsoft’s portfolio with new products such as Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power BI and Azure AI that we believe will empower Kiwi businesses.”
Umbrellar opens for business as a Microsoft CSP from 1 July this year.
