OPPO brings advanced technology to the smartphone market with new device

OPPO has launched the newest addition to their smartphone range the OPPO R15 Pro, including new flagship features like the 6.28-inch super full screen and dual 20 megapixel camera with improved camera technology, enhanced by AI and a new Sony sensor.

Saying the camera is the most used feature of any smartphone, OPPO has delivered new top-of-the-line camera functions, like the re-invented ‘Sensor-HDR’ technology which dramatically improves back-lit selfies and allows users to check high dynamic exposure live effects in real-time.

Low resolutions selfies are a thing of the past thanks to a 20 megapixel front camera. Along with upgraded scenario recognition based on AI-enhanced technologies, the dual rear cameras (16 megapixel+20 megapixel) use the new Sony IMX519 sensor with 1.22μm single pixel size, bringing a larger photosensitive area and stronger performance.

Whether taking photos using the front, or back camera, you can choose from a range of beautifying modes to take enhanced shots of yourself, or tap on “AI” to let the camera decide for you.

To bring images to life, OPPO has improved on its full screen display. With an OLED 6.28-inch 2280 x 1080 (401 ppi) bezel-less screen, it means no part of the screen is wasted ensuring maximum screen to body ratio.

OPPO has worked with famed industrial designer Karim Rashid to create two limited edition colour gradients for the OPPO R15 Pro: Ruby Red and Cosmic Purple. Both shades have a new gradient design, with built-in transparent glass that allows for light and shadow to play off of the colours, creating a unique and aesthetically pleasing handset.

The R15 Pro offers exceptionally long battery life and with the fastest and safest smartphone charge technology, VOOC Flash Charge, a five-minute charge gives you a two-hour phone call. The new smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 processor and comes with 6 GB RAM plus 128 GB storage and Android

The new device will be available with a retail price of NZ$899, from the following retailers:

  • Noel Leeming, JB Hi-Fi, PB Tech, The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery, Smiths City: July 23rd On Sale
  • Plans: 2degrees Mobile - Available 23rd July
