Cingular Wireless and Eastman Kodak sponsoring U.S. photo contest
Cingular Wireless and Eastman Kodak Company are looking for America’s cheeriest smiles as part of a national photo contest: Share a Smile.

Through 29 May 2004, for every smile snapped and submitted using a camera phone with Multimedia Messaging (MMS), Cingular customers have a chance to win one US$10,000 grand prize and the opportunity to have their photo displayed on the Kodak billboard in New York City’s Times Square.

Weekly winners will receive a new Motorola V400 flip-phone with integrated camera. The companies also say that for every picture received, a donation will be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, up to US$25,000 total. The Make-A-Wish foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Additionally, all those who submit pictures will receive a 90-day free trial to KODAK Mobile Service, which offers camera phone users anytime, anywhere access to their digital photos and phone-captured video.

To enter the Share a Smile contest Cingular customers have to use their camera phone to snap a photo of their favorite smiling face and send it to 76453 (SMILE) using the Multimedia Messaging feature of their phone. Once received and screened for content, photos will be posted to a web site allowing customers to view all submissions.
