Leading camera phone brand, OPPO, has launched its latest smartphone, the highly anticipated Find X. The new flagship device has some of the most futuristic technology and design in smartphones.
The new innovations include an advanced smartphone design, Artificial Intelligence (AI) performance enhancements, improved 3D camera, and ‘SuperVOOC’ turbo charge technology.
Globally unveiling the flagship device at the Louvre museum in Paris, France in June, the Find X phone is the first smartphone to contain OPPO’s patented SuperVOOC technology. This enables the phone to go from zero battery to full charge in just 35 minutes – that’s the fastest absolute safety charging time of a phone right now.
OPPO New Zealand General Manager Kevin Cho, expects the Find X to challenge New Zealand perceptions of smartphones. “OPPO’s relentless research and investment into new technologies has enabled us to push the boundaries in delivering a completely new design to the New Zealand smartphone market,” says Kevin.
It will come in two gradient colour combinations — Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue and introduces a Panoramic Arc Screen, bringing the visual screen ratio to 93.8 per cent. With the front almost all-screen, the Find X provides an immersive and unprecedented visual experience, whilst offering an elegant look and feel.
To achieve the all-screen display, the Find X uses an innovative sliding structure that completely conceals the camera within the body of the phone. The Find X sports a 25-megapixel front camera and 16MP+20MP dual rear cameras. There’s also a 3D structured light module included, which projects 15,000 invisible dots to build a precise and complete 3D model of a user’s face, with millimeter-level accuracy.
With the assistance of AI Scene Recognition, OPPO Find X makes it easier to take high quality photos. It intelligently identifies scenes and objects while optimising the image. It also supports more than 20 photography scenarios and, with more than 800 scenario combinations including sunsets, snow, food and pets. National Geographic magazine could be calling for your photos.
Not only does the 3D cameras enhance users’ photos, but its built-in facial recognition technology has an even higher level of security than fingerprint. The false acceptance rate of fingerprint recognition is 1/50,000, while the false acceptance rate of 3D Face Recognition is 1/1,000,000.
Based on Android 8.1, OPPO ColorOS 5.1 is deeply integrated with the AI Engine of the Snapdragon 845 mobile platform. ColorOS is stronger, faster and smarter than ever before with the Snapdragon 845. OPPO Find X features the built-in Google Assistant and the smart low-power-consumption MIC with DSP module. This means OPPO Find X can not only make use of Google Assistant at all times but the Find X can also adjust the performance automatically to ensure high activation success rate.
