Roaming Messenger is a scalable solution for deploying secure and real-time messaging applications over wired and wireless devices. The company is now testing a Windows Mobile smartphone version of their software. The current platform of choice is the Motorola MPx200 Windows Mobile Smartphone.
According to the press release, entering beta phase brings the company another step closer to commercial deployment of the roaming Messenger technology across a broad array of OS platforms.
Roaming Messenger allows dynamic and interactive content to seamlessly roam through the wired and wireless worlds. The system is initially being rolled out in the Homeland Security and Emergency Response sectors, where instantaneous, interactive communication is critical to saving lives and property. Future areas of commercialization are in Enterprise IT -- machine process control, and Mobile Commerce -- for example, vending machine purchases via mobile phone interconnectivity.
