The i-mate Smartphone is being distributed in Australia by Carrier Devices. Last month's news that Telstra would have this model in its line up was confirmed and the device seem to be finding its way to the consumer market now.
Matt from Mtekk IT sourced one of these Windows Mobile 2003 Smartphones from a local distributor and wrote a summary of this new device, with comments on the key parts: "Truly a major improvement over its predecessor - in spite of some flaws that I feel will be rectified soon. At this stage, I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in the Smartphone form factor! We will be delivering a follow-up review within a few weeks which will revisit the phone with anything further found - so it may be worth your while to wait that little longer!"
