SurfKitchen in trial for the next phase of O2 Active
An executive from mobile operator O2 UK will be available during the next 3GSM, in Cannes, 23-26 February 2004 to discuss why O2 UK is currently trialling SurfKit Mobile to power the next phase of O2 Active. SurfKitchen is an innovative, full-colour mobile application that offers customers simple access to online data and multimedia services directly from a mobile device, including Nokia Symbian Series 60, symibna UIQ, Java and Microsoft Windows Mobile Smartphone. The product will be demonstrated during the 3GSM congress as well.

SurfKit Mobile enables users to view premium data services and information on the handset itself without having to go online. Once the desired content is found, the customer can connect directly to the information with just one click. This significantly improves the customer experience.

SurfKit Mobile also makes it possible for operators to remotely customise and control information on the user's handset, as SurfKit Mobile's user interface can be managed and updated over the air. This is done by a straightforward, cost-effective platform, which is always present on the subscriber's phone. This provides the capability for operators to brand and customise the mobile desktop to extend and build their identity.
