Motorola launches new mobile phones and Bluetooth headset
Motorola announced five new additions to its handset and accessories range. The preview was in Krakow, Poland, where Motorola held a private viewing for 100 journalists from Europe, Middle East and Africa.

This exclusive product unveiling was part of Motorola's Art of The Mobile exhibition, which showcased mobile art by local artists. Motorola worked with Krakow-based photography curator Alexander Ante, organiser of Photomonth, an annual festival dedicated to emerging photography. Alexander worked with eight specially selected professional photographers to produce a photography collection with Motorola mobile phones, which will be exhibited in Krakow in February 2004.

Artists Bogdan Krezel, Sylwia Kowalczyk, Gawel Kownacki, Agata Pankiewicz, Marcin Przybylko, Bartek, Alicja Szwinta and Joanna Zak-Twarog all created their images using Motorola camera phones.

The latest additions to Motorola's 2004 product line-up include:

  • The HS820 Bluetooth Headset is compact and enables quick and easy connections by allowing users to manage their incoming and outgoing calls with a single button on the headset, with a range of up to 10 meters. The Motorola HS820 Bluetooth Headset features an ergonomic design that can be adjusted to use on either the left or right ear. Plus, with Bluetooth 1.2 compatibility, users can benefit from enriched technology that provides faster connections for up to 3.5 hours.

  • The Motorola V80 has a black look, rotating cover, compact design and one touch embedded VGA camera. When it is closed, the V80 showcases a large external colour display ideal for playing games and photo caller id. With a light push, the cover automatically rotates to unveil a full-size mobile phone ideal for text messaging and voice calls. Users can rotate the cover to a 90 degree angle and automatically set the phone into photo mode. The screen will switch to landscape mode and pictures can be captured with one simple press of a button. The phone is a tri-band GSM, with GPRS. It offers WAP 2.0, J2ME MIDP 2.0, POP3 and SMTP client, MMS, and Bluetooth.
