Webservices and Smartphone development

This Microsoft MSDN shows a demo application consisting of a client that can retrieve map information via a webservice, and display this on the Smartphone.

The geographical searching and map data is provided by MapPoint .NET, a commercial Web service.

Very interesting article for developers out there!
