Sierra Wireless announced that it has signed an agreement with KPN to launch and sell the Voq Professional Phone and the VoqMail Professional Edition product to customers in the Netherlands. The new Voq Professional Phone, a Microsoft Windows Mobile Smartphone 2003 device developed by Sierra Wireless, is expected to be commercially available to KPN customers in the second quarter of 2004.

The new Voq phone will operate over KPN's GSM (Global System for Mobile communication) and GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) network, including global roaming. A complete communication solution for busy professionals, the Voq phone will enable KPN customers to stay connected with a fast and secure mobile solution that provides easy access to corporate and personal information wherever they need to be.
