MusiKube announced at 3GSM World Congress iCapture mobile music recognition and discovery solutions for Microsoft Windows Mobile Smartphones.
MusiKube will be demonstrating the iCapture audio and barcode recognition services, which allow consumers to use their mobile phone to interactively capture their musical interests, whether hearing the music or reading about it.
The iCapture Barcode Recognition Service turns camera phones into music capture and discovery devices by allowing consumers to scan barcodes on albums, advertisements, concert posters and other print media, such as in-store displays. Consumers simply point the camera at the barcode and launch the application, which is optimized for Windows Mobile.
The iCapture Audio Recognition Service turns mobile phones into music capture and discovery devices by allowing consumers to identify music whenever it is heard. Consumers simply dial a toll-free phone number and hold their phone near the music for 10 seconds.
Whether audio captured or barcode scanned, once a song has been identified through the iCapture service, consumers can open links and listen to song samples, receive recommendations, share the information with their friends, and buy related products, such as ringtones, 'truetones' and digital downloads - directly on their mobile device. A full list of all identified songs and albums can also be viewed, sampled and purchased from the MusiKube Website along with related products such as monophonic, polyphonic and 'true tones' ringtones through MusiKube's fulfillment partners.
