Motorola announced the introduction of the Windows Mobile based Motorola MPx200 Smartphone to the Australian market.

Utilising Microsoft Windows Mobile software, the new Motorola MPx200 Smartphone will allow customers to take the functionality and familiarity of Microsoft Office and Outlook features with them while on the move. Users are able to manage their personal information and synchronise email, calendar and contacts either via a PC or via seamless over-the-air synchronisation with Microsoft Exchange Server. The Smartphone also supports Web browsing using Pocket Internet Explorer and fully integrates with MSN Messenger.

The Motorola MPx200 will be available throughout Australia through Optus Mobile retail and business sales channels. The recommended retail price for the MPx200 is AU$849.
