Siemens launched its Car Kit Bluetooth HKW-600 during the CeBIT 2004. The installation kit, designed specifically for use in the car, communicates with mobile phone via Bluetooth. With an external display users can see who is calling wherever your phone is located in the car whether it be in a briefcase, handbag or in the trunk. In addition users can remote control its relevant functions using the visible Car Kit display to make and receive handsfree calls with the Car Kit.
The navigation system of four buttons along the side of the device enables search for names out of the phonebook or numbers out of the callers list, receive and end calls, switch the device on and off as well as adjust the volume. The kit also offers echo reduction and noise suppression. In addition, the system switches on and off automatically as soon as the driver starts or turns off the car.
The Car Kit Bluetooth HKW-600 will be available from retail stores mid 2004.
