Sierra Wireless signs up partners to distribute its Windows Mobile Smartphone in Europe
Sierra Wireless announced agreements with European distributors to sell the Voq Professional Phone and the VoqMail Professional Edition to customers in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Holland, Italy, Luxemburg, the Nordics, Switzerland, and Spain. The new Voq Professional Phone, a smartphone based on the Microsoft Windows Mobile SmartPhone OS is expected to be commercially available in selected countries in the second quarter of 2004.

Distributors include A & C Systems, Cedros, Daimler, Dangaard, Speeka, and Xacom.

"We are seeing strong interest in the Voq Professional Phone across Europe, and Sierra Wireless is committed to providing mobile professionals with innovative solutions that combine best-in-class voice connectivity and data functionality," said Derek Evans, Vice President & Managing Director, EMEA for Sierra Wireless. "By working with key distribution partners, Sierra Wireless can accommodate mobile user demands and offer the complete suite of Voq Professional Phone products."
