Sprint users soon to have live sports news on mobile phone
MobiTV has boosted its sports coverage with the addition of VTV Sports and VTV Scoreline to its lineup. The MobiTV service was launched in November 2003 and is currently available as a J2ME-download to several Sprint PCS Vision Phones.

VTV Sports, available on MobiTV channel 11, provides information on nationwide sporting events, broadcast from its studio in Las Vegas. VTV Scoreline, available on MobiTV channel 12, provides 24/7 real-time streaming score updates. The channels are produced by Toolbox Productions Inc.

For US$9.99 per month Sprint PCS Vision subscribers can get MobiTV to see and hear some of the most popular television channels, including ABC News Live, MSNBC, CNBC, Discovery Channel, College Sports Television and The Learning Channel. The company says that at the end of 2003, there were more than 3.2 million Sprint PCS Vision subscribers nationwide.
