TVG Technologies announced the completion of development of a new pocket-size computer named SmartNet. SmartNet's main technologies are based on intel XScale and a number of other important technologies, like GPRS, WiFi, Bluetooth, contact & contactless EMV smart card readers, SD/MMC flash disk, 3.5" to 17" LCD screens with touch panel, Ethernet, PSTN modem, USB host, biometrics (fingerprint reader), mouse and keyboard. SmartNet runs on Microsoft's Windows CE.NET in combination with SmartChip's high security service provider software.
The company is known as a provider of secure smart card crypto interfacing systems.
SmartNet is available to OEM manufacturers as a single board for integration in advanced products such as credit card POS terminals, thin client computers, IP smart phones, wireless data communications and more.
TVG says the SmartNet product, which will be available for shipment in the fourth quarter of 2004.
