Gizmondo Europe Ltd announced that will distribute the Gizmondo in the UK first by Toys R Us. The Tiger Telematics' device is based on a Windows CE .Net platform and is described by the company as a multi-entertainer. It combines a wireless, handheld device featuring gaming, an MP3 music player, movie player, multimedia messaging, in-built camera and GPS functions, scheduled to be released in the UK later this year.
The device was originally called Gametrac, but the company changed the product's name for legal reasons.
