The new OPPO Find X8 Pro is one of the first mobile phones in Aotearoa to be satellite-messaging ready.
With the launch of One NZ Satellite TXT today, the OPPO Find X8 Pro will allow Kiwis to stay connected in remote areas without cellular coverage, offering an alternative way to communicate off the grid.
TXT capability will be the first to launch, with voice and basic data to follow.
OPPO Global invested heavily in R&D to ensure the Find X8 Pro would be ready to support satellite messaging upon the launch of the new technology in New Zealand. General Manager of OPPO New Zealand, Morgan Halim, says it’s exciting to be part of the first wave bringing this innovation to life.

OPPO is proud to be working alongside One NZ to deliver this capability, making New Zealand one of the first countries to explore its potential.
While satellite messaging represents a significant leap forward, OPPO reminds users it’s not a replacement for Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs) or other emergency satellite communication devices.
The launch of satellite messaging on the OPPO Find X8 Pro is the latest example of OPPO’s commitment to using technology to empower lives while driving meaningful innovation through local and global partnerships.
