Ring Introduces Outdoor Camera Plus

Ring is introducing the new Outdoor Camera Plus, delivering its best image quality yet for this series. Featuring 2K video resolution and a wide field of view, the new device leverages the power of Ring Vision to provide exceptional clarity. With Low-Light Sight technology, the camera captures detail and colour even in near-dark conditions, ensuring a clear view at any time of day.

“The launch of Outdoor Camera Plus marks a significant milestone in our journey of combining superior image quality with intelligent features to enhance smart security, keeping customers connected to what matters most. With 2K resolution, a wide field of view, and Low-Light Sight technology, the new launch delivers our clearest, most detailed footage yet – giving customers insight into what’s happening around their home, no matter where they are,” said Mark Fletcher, Ring Managing Director, APAC.

Ring’s Low-Light Sight technology uses advanced image processing techniques to show a clear, colourful view even in near-dark conditions. Even in a dimly lit front garden, the camera can capture moments with clarity and sharpness through the illumination of only a streetlight or other ambient light.

Outdoor Camera Plus’s video quality is powered by Ring Vision, which delivers industry-leading video quality by combining software, hardware and Ring’s internal expertise. Ring Vision begins with a high-quality lens, which is perfectly matched with premium imaging sensors for crisp video definition. With Dynamic Image processing and high-efficiency compression, the video will deliver life-like colour and clarity whether you’re watching in Live View or a video recording from the night before.

Available in both black and white colours, the Outdoor Camera Plus is designed to be used indoors or outdoors and features a weather-resistant build, an easy-to-install mount that can even work on ceilings, and multiple power options including battery, plug-in and solar.

While Ring customers can enjoy features such as real-time alerts, Live View and Two Way Talk without a Ring subscription, the optional Ring Home subscription plans allow customers to access even more capabilities. With Ring Home Basic, customers can receive smart alerts notifying them of people, packages, and vehicles, as well as the ability to access up to 180 days of event video history, and more. Ring Home Premium provides customers with even more insight into what’s happening at their home with features such as 24/7 Recording, which is available with plug-in and hardwired power sources.

Customers can also connect Outdoor Camera Plus to compatible Alexa-enabled devices to stream Live View, engage in Two-Way Talk and more.

Outdoor Camera Plus is available for pre-order today for AU$179 and NZ$179 on Ring.com, Amazon.com.au and select retailers in Australia and New Zealand including jbhifi.com.au, jbhifi.co.nz and noelleeming.co.nz. Devices will start shipping to customers on 27 March 2025.
