SmartWorlds iShop turns Pocket PC into the comparison shopping tool
SmartWorlds released iShop Electronics for the US and UK markets. iShop is a free software that turns Internet-enabled Pocket PC handhelds into comparison shopping tools.

iShop allows shoppers to check product information such as price, reviews and recommendations while shopping at any retail store or mall.

The company promisses no more walking into a store with pages of product information tediously researched and printed from the Internet only to find out that the preferred product is not available at the store’s shelf. Just shop as usual at your favorite store, then enter the model number for the item you see on the store’s shelf and iShop will quickly display price, reviews and recommendations from the best Internet discounters.

The software also provides a simple “Wish List” tool for keeping track of the items users might be interested in. Any item added to it will be emailed to the user's inbox with links to the on-line retailer. Once back at the desktop the user will be able to review the list and finalize the purchases from the secure website of the on-line retailer.

Shoppers using iShop Electronics can access product information from several categories, including: Digital Cameras, MP3 Players, PDA, Networking, DVD Players, HDTV, Home Theater, Camcorders, and Printers.

iShop Electronics for the Pocket PC is available for free from Smartworlds and 93735 Handango. iShop Books for Pocket PC (US, UK, German and Japanese version) and for Java phones is also available for free download from the same websites.
