ihookdb PDA Database for Pocket PC
ihookdb allows the user to interact with multiple database types, including FileMaker, SQL Server and MySQL.

  • Tables from different data sources and even from different database types can be joined to interrelate data. These relationships can then be viewed with the parent record and the related records underneath. Any changes can then be separately submitted back to the data sources.
  • Local finds and external fetches can be saved to be recalled,
  • Drop down value lists can be assigned to fields to improve data integrity and speed of entry. Value lists can be manually entered, linked to a field in a table, linked to a related field or imported from a value list in FileMaker.
  • A script (FileMaker) or stored procedure (SQL Server) can be stored and activated on the host machine from the ihookdb client. Create Complex Calculations Complex calculations can be done between fields in the local table and related tables with many operators, functions and aggregations/global functions.
  • Navigation between records, tables and database structure are accessed from a simple menu system.

The software requires Windows Mobile 2003 or Pocket PC OS 2002 with .NET installed. TCP/IP connectivity required to access remote databases.
