CaféNET promotions for June 2004
The Wellington Wi-Fi provider is giving away free wi-fi access in all weekends during June 2004, plus the chance to win an Apple iPod. There are about 130 wireless access points throughout Wellington and even the major lounges at the Westpac Stadium now have CaféNET available. The wireless service is attached to CityLink’s fibre network, hence the high speeds available.

CityLink Sales & Marketing Manager Damien Fahey said, “The last time we ran a free weekend promotion, well over 30GB of data was generated in a month – this is the equivalent of nearly 15 hours of DVD quality video!” He continued, “CaféNET has been so widely adopted by the Wellington community that the June promotion may see individuals logging on to CaféNET over 3000 times during the month – over 100 a day on average”.

CafeNET is even available in some Apartments within the CBD; and can be received in some residential areas such as Roseneath, and Mt Victoria.
