Cirond Corporation has announced the availability of the latest version of its pocketWinc 2.0 wireless connectivity application. Cirond pocketWinc 2.0 is designed to help the millions of Pocket PC handheld computer users who increasingly want to connect to wireless networks. According to the company the installed base of Pocket PC-based hardware exceeds 10 million units and analysts project that more than 4 million additional units will be sold this year, with more than half anticipated to have built-in wireless network capabilities.
"This latest version of pocketWinc 2.0 builds on our leadership position in the mobile wireless connectivity market, which will become increasingly significant with the advent of Pocket PC-based smart phones later this year," said Cirond CEO and President Nicholas Miller. "We anticipate that sales of our pocketWinc 2.0 will become an ever more significant part of our revenue stream."
The company did not elaborate on what's new in the latest version, from the previous PocketWiNc 1.3.
