BOnTime 2.2.1 Beta available
Bsystems has announced a new beta version of its time recording program for Windows Mobile Pocket PC. The Beta fixes a number of issues and changes a few things to improve the product. There are no new features in this version, therefore it is a minor bug fix. The changelog shows the following issues as fixed:

  • If you create a new job that is designed to go under the selected task and the task has no other jobs in it, the job will be assigned to the parent project (rebuilding the tree will show this) rather than the specified task
  • You can create another Client/project/task as one that already exists - BOnTime does not prevent duplicates.
  • Adding a project/task/job to a duplicate client will cause an exception to occur
  • The summary screens do not take paused time into account when calculating time spent on a task.
  • Adding the first client and project to a blank file may cause an IO Error. Once these items have been created, all should function correctly.
  • Very large data files (<600kb) may cause a hard reset when the data completes loading
  • The summary screens do not take paused time into account when calculating time allocated directly to a project
  • Fixed error creating new file introduced in first beta
  • Fixed Week summary screen to ensure rest time is taken into account

Other changes in this version include:

  • Better version checking around the version of the application (Trial, Beta, etc)
  • Beta version is limited to 60 days
  • Trial version now notifies the user that they are using a trial version when it starts
  • Project summary (on summary screen) is now sorted alphabetically rather than descending by hours worked.
  • (Beta2) The user is warned when opening files over 500kb
  • (Beta2) Opening of files over 550kb is disabled.
  • Modified time box controls to use updated version
  • Changed version from trial to pre-release to allow 60 days of use regardless of whether trial has been installed or not
