Plantronics demonstrating new Bluetooth technology for headsets
Plantronics, Inc. is demonstrating for the first time during the DEMOMobile 2004 a technology concept that will enable users to seamlessly switch between their mobile phone, office phone, laptop and other Bluetooth devices. Mobile professionals will be able to use one wireless headset to communicate throughout their day wherever they are – in the office, on the road or on the go.

"Headsets have become a necessity for mobile professionals, but they've had to contend with multiple headsets, wires and adapters. Plantronics is applying its industry-leading market knowledge and the newest technologies to simplify people's lives – soon you'll need only one headset wherever you go," said Mark Breier, chief marketing officer for Plantronics.

"When workers can use a single device to communicate via their phone, PDA or laptop -- both in the office and on the road -- the distinction between mobile and office-based workers fades," said Chris Shipley, Executive Producer of the DEMO Conferences. "Plantronics' new Bluetooth technology will help workers move easily among a wide range of devices, and in doing so, allow them to wirelessly communicate from essentially anywhere."
