Psion Teklogix announces Psion 8525 Windows CE .Net vehicle-mounted computer
The 8525 offers a range of software development and connectivity options to fill the mobile data collection needs of ports, yards, cold-chain, airports and wide-area mobile applications.

Based on Psion Teklogix' Advanced Intel XScale/CE .NET platform, the 8525 is a vehicle-mount computer designed to deliver mobile computing in intense and cold operating environments. With its IP 66 rating, 5-95% RH condensing rating and -30° C (-22° F) operating temperature, the 8525 ensures the users can get the maximum amount of up-time and productivity. The 8525 is backwards compatible with the 8255, giving customers another option to reduce total deployment costs.

The 8525's standards-based platform allows application developers to easily create customized applications using Psion Teklogix' Mobile Devices Software Development Kits. In addition to its customization capabilities, the 8525 also offers customers a range of wireless connectivity options from 802.11 technologies and new "Digital" Narrowband radio to GSM/GPRS, CDMA and Bluetooth. A majority of port customers continue to leverage narrowband radio technology, and with the 8525 they can take advantage of Psion Teklogix' newest "Digital" Narrowband radio. This new technology offers extended range, enhanced signal clarity and more efficient battery use. It is also very user friendly and easily maintained using an icon driven GUI interface for precision tuning.
