The Wellington Windows Mobile User Group met 09 September to hear HP New Zealand's Mobile Solutions Marketing Manager Paull Wilson about the new HP iPAQ line introduced this year. This time the meeting was sponsored by HP, in its Wellington offices.
The audience of users and developers heard about HP's experience with media, media distribution, and the role Pocket PCs play in this area, including how the new multimedia enabled iPAQs fit in this model.

After this presentation, Darryl Burling had a 15 minutes slot to present a short comparison on Finance Software for Pocket PC. At the end of meeting one lucky user won a brand new HP iPAQ hx4700 Pocket PC, and HP presented a discount offer to all presents and members of the WMUG user list. The CafeNet wireless network was also present by giving 10 users vouchers to access the wi-fi network across the city of Wellington.
