palmOne is now working in the accessories market, and not only for its own handhelds. The new palmOne Universal Wireless Keyboard boasts compatibility with palmOne's own devices, plus HP and Dell Pocket PC devices. It is designed for students and business professionals who are heavy e-mail users and who need to compose lengthy wireless emails, notes, reports and compositions away from the desktop or laptop.
Smaller than a standard paperback book, the keyboard can be tucked away on the side pocket of a backpack or briefcase, and it should be available for US$69.99
palmOne is also announcing a Bluetooth GPS bundle, complete with a Zire 72 handheld and the Navigator software from TomTom with real-time 3-D and 2-D navigation display. The software also includes voice-guided turn-by-turn instructions. Maps for the entire United States and Canada are included and cover more than 4.5 million points of interest. The bundle sells for US$449.
