WorldMate comes to the PC
The WorldMate Desktop Companion, a companion application to MobiMate's highly successful WorldMate Professional Edition, has been announced today. WorldMate Desktop Companion assists business travellers in managing their travel information on both their PCs and their mobile devices, interacting with WorldMate 2004 Professional Edition on their handhelds.

Designed for frequent business travellers, WorldMate Desktop Companion allows a user to create, edit and manage one's travel itineraries on a desktop PC, and then synchronize these with a handheld device using WorldMate Professional Edition. In addition, WorldMate Desktop Companion provides the user with world clocks, global weather forecasts from The Weather Channel (weather.com), and flight details automatically using a service supplied by the Official Airline Guides (OAG), the world's leading source of independent flight schedule information.

"WorldMate Desktop Companion presents the next step in WorldMate's evolution into a main-stream business travel tool, encompassing business travel through all stages - from planning to execution," stated Nadav Gur, MobiMate's CEO. "WorldMate has become an indispensable tool for professional travellers - streamlining travel information management as well as rescuing passengers from the unavoidable travel delays and mishaps. WorldMate takes the stress out of business travel."

Following the announcement, MobiMate has also released version 3.5 of WorldMate 2004 Professional Edition for Palm OS devices, a version that synchronizes directly with the WorldMate Desktop Companion.
