Skweezer to integrate Instant Messaging to its services
Greenlight Wireless Corporation has signed a deal with BuddyStream Technologies to integrate their cross-network instant messaging (IM) application into Skweezer. This will allow Skweezer users to send and receive instant messages on many of the most popular IM networks, such as AOL, MSN, Yahoo!, and Jabber.

The integrated version of BuddyStream Technologies' solution will allow Skweezer users to access their existing instant messenger accounts, without requiring a separate sign in process for each IM provider. Skweezer users will be able to view a list of friends and contacts currently online, as well as send and receive instant messages, from several IM accounts simultaneously right from their Skweezer Home Page. BuddyStream Technologies' application is based on open standards, which means that, like Skweezer, it can be used on a wide range of handheld devices and platforms.

Greenlight Wireless' Skweezer product is a Web-based service that allows users to reformat Web content for wireless-enabled handheld devices, such as mobile phones and PDA's like Pocket PC and Palm devices. Customers use the Skweezer portal as a wireless gateway to browse the Internet with Greenlight Wireless' compression and optimization technology. Upcoming releases of Skweezer will incorporate a suite of messaging, search, shopping, and personal information management (PIM) tools.
